Großer Möseler (3.478m)

The second highest mountain in the Zillertal Alps is a fantastic glacier tour with amazing distance views of South Tyrol, North Tyrol, the Zugspitze and Großglockner.

The ascent begins at the Furthschaglhaus. Head south and follow the path to the Furtschagl stream. Cross the small bridge and keep going along the easily visible path south-west to the moraine ridge. Keep going until you reach the edge of the glacier. Cross the glacier (passing small rock masses at around 2,980m) to the large rock face. Climb this (grade II, danger of rock fall!) and then follow the Firngrat ridge to the summit.

We recommend that you only attempt this peak with an experienced mountain guide!
